Tune Chemical Tankers

OUR FLEET

FEELING YOUNG. SAILING YOUNG

The initial 5 ships that TCT took off with in 2011 have meanwhile been joined by another 25, all owned by our principals. Measuring up to 140 meters long, the Intermediate and Medium Range tankers - deep sea and coastal – that we operate can ship roughly between 10,700 and 30,000 metric tons of chemicals, commodities and edible oils. Some vessels even have a capacity of up to 50,000 tons.

MODERN EQUIPMENT

In spite of the actual life expectancy of around 30 years, most chemical tankers ‘retire’ at the age of 15 or so. To guarantee our clients modern, innovative equipment we insist on sailing with relatively new vessels. While other tank operators often work with ships that are way past their economic lifetime, our oldest ship was built only 8 years ago.

STRICT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

On top of that, we monitor the operations, maintenance and performance of each vessel through a strictly implemented Integrated Management System supported by a detailed Planned Maintenance System. This is just one of many reasons why leading petrochemical companies such as BP, Shell, Exxon and Cargill choose TCT for shipping their CPP and non-CPP products worldwide.

COMBINED SHIPMENTS

Although most of our shipments are full shiploads, clients can rely on TCT for combined shipments as well. To avoid ‘contamination’ and other risks, including undesired chemical reactions between two or more loaded substances, the individual cargoes are strictly separated from each other by up to 14 compartments that are hermetically sealed during transport.
